Probably Thinking About a Dead Person's Estate Right Now.
I'm Sydney — a front-end developer and digital historian based in Indianapolis, with 9+ years of agency experience building websites that are fast, accessible, and carefully crafted. I'm drawn to projects that live at the intersection of history and technology: clients with a clever past, preservation-focused projects, and work that makes the past more discoverable. My background in creative writing shapes how I approach every build — I'm not just writing code, I'm shaping an experience. I specialize in Craft CMS, WCAG 2.0 accessibility compliance, and translating complex designs into clean, performant code. I'm currently completing my BA in History (expected Spring 2028), with plans to pursue an MLIS — because for me, the codebase and the archive have always belonged in the same space. Away from the screen, I spend my time on historical research projects like my own family lore or studying the past of local buildings, restoring my 1930s home on the Eastside of Indy, or playing with my dogs in my garden. I have too many tabs open and an ever-growing list of hobbies, but I'm always open to new explorations and collaborations.
